Last updated October 20, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Maverick Codebase website at maverickcodebase.com, related studio pages (including project, support, privacy, delete-account, and download pages), and the mobile apps and games we publish under the Maverick Codebase name.

By using the website or an app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the apps.

Purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to Apple’s or Google’s terms and billing rules. Where those store terms conflict with these Terms on payment, refunds, or account billing, the store’s rules for that purchase apply.

Who we are

Maverick Codebase (“we”, “us”) is the studio that operates this website and publishes the products listed below. Contact: hello@maverickcodebase.com.

Products covered

These Terms apply to our published products, including:

  • Scan Sprint — document scanner and PDF tools for iPhone and Android. Optional Premium subscription.
  • Expense Ninja — expense tracker and receipt scanner. Optional Premium subscription. Availability may differ by store and country.
  • Four in a Row — Connect Four-style game. May show ads; optional one-time Remove Ads purchase.
  • Jump & Capture — Alquerque-style strategy game. May show ads; optional one-time Remove Ads purchase.

Each product may also have its own privacy policy and support page on this site. Those pages apply together with these Terms. If a product-specific page and these Terms conflict on that product’s privacy or support details, the product page controls for that topic.

Using the website

You may browse public pages, read project and blog content, download apps through store links we publish, and contact us through forms. You agree not to:

  • misuse, overload, or attempt to break the site or our systems;
  • scrape or harvest content in a way that harms the service or violates law;
  • send unlawful, misleading, abusive, or spam content through forms or email;
  • impersonate us or anyone else, or misuse our marks.

Enquiries and client work

Sending a contact, newsletter, or “let’s build” form is a request to talk. It is not a contract, quote, booking, or promise that we will take the work. Paid client projects start only when scope, price, and timing are agreed in writing between you and Maverick Codebase.

License to use our apps

Subject to these Terms and the store rules, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use each app on devices you own or control, for your own lawful use.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, rent, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer (except where the law allows), or bypass technical limits in the apps. The apps remain our property (and our licensors’). This is a license, not a sale of the software itself.

Accounts, demo use, and deletion

Some apps let you sign in (for example with email, Google, or Apple) or continue in a local / demo mode. Sign-in is for account identity and app preferences where offered. For Scan Sprint and Expense Ninja, scans, expenses, and similar ledger or document data are designed to stay on the device; signing in is not a promise of cloud sync of that library across devices.

  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.
  • You can delete local data and, where offered, your account from inside the app (for example Account / Settings). For Scan Sprint and Expense Ninja we also publish delete-account pages on this site.
  • Uninstalling an app or clearing device storage may permanently remove on-device files. Back up anything you need before you delete.

On-device data, exports, and signatures

Where an app stores documents, expenses, or similar content on your device, you are responsible for that content, for any backup you choose to make, and for anyone you share exports with.

In Scan Sprint, tools such as eSign let you draw and place a visual signature on a PDF. That is not a certificate-based or qualified electronic signature service, and we do not warrant that a signed PDF will meet a particular legal or regulatory requirement in your country. You decide whether a signature is suitable for your use.

Purchases, subscriptions, and Remove Ads

Paid features are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Maverick Codebase does not take your full card number on this website for those purchases, and this website does not currently run a separate paid checkout for app features.

Premium subscriptions (Scan Sprint, Expense Ninja)

  • Free tiers may include daily or feature limits. Premium unlocks higher limits and paid tools shown in the app and store listing.
  • Billing is by Apple or Google through your store account. Prices, billing period, and trial length (when offered) are shown before you confirm.
  • If a free trial is offered, it usually converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends, under the store’s rules.
  • Paid subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings.
  • Canceling stops the next renewal. It does not automatically refund the current period already paid, except where Apple, Google, or applicable law requires it.
  • We may change prices or Premium features. Material changes appear in the store or app. Continued use after a change accepts the updated offer for future renewals.

One-time purchases (Four in a Row, Jump & Capture)

Remove Ads is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple or Google. After purchase, ads are removed according to the store entitlement on that account. Use Restore Purchases in the app if you reinstall or change devices and still own the purchase.

Ads

Free versions of our games may show third-party ads (for example banners or interstitials) unless you buy Remove Ads or another offer that removes them.

Refunds

Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their refund rules. Request a refund through your Apple ID (Report a Problem) or Google Play account. We cannot issue a store refund ourselves for a charge those stores already processed.

Online features, leaderboards, and community use

Some games offer online matchmaking, invite codes, profiles, leaderboards, achievements, or similar features that may use third-party services (for example Apple Game Center, Google Play Games, or Firebase). You agree not to cheat, harass others, abuse matchmaking, manipulate rankings, or use automated tools against those services. We may suspend or limit online features for accounts or devices that break these rules or harm other players.

Age

Our apps are intended for users who meet the minimum age stated in that app’s privacy policy or store listing (commonly 13 or older). If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, you may use an app only with a parent or guardian’s permission where required. Parents and guardians are responsible for a child’s use of the apps and for store purchases on family or shared accounts.

Your responsibilities

  • Use the site and apps lawfully and in line with these Terms.
  • Do not upload, scan, or share content you do not have the right to use.
  • Do not attempt to access another person’s account, data, or device without permission.
  • Do not interfere with billing, entitlements, ads, or security features.
  • Keep exports, shared files, and on-device backups under your control.
  • Comply with Apple’s and Google’s rules when you buy, cancel, restore, or request refunds through their stores.

Your content

You keep ownership of content you create or import in the apps (for example scans, expenses, notes, signatures you draw, display names). You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate features you use (for example processing a scan on your device, or showing a display name on a leaderboard). We do not claim ownership of your document or expense data.

Our content and marks

The Maverick Codebase name, marks, site design, writing, and marketing images belong to us unless a page says otherwise. You may share a link to a public page. You may not copy the site design, republish our content as your own, or use our marks in a way that suggests sponsorship without permission.

Third-party services

The site and apps may rely on third parties such as Apple, Google, Firebase / Google Cloud, analytics or crash reporting, and ad networks in free game builds. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. Store availability, account recovery, and payment disputes for purchases are controlled by Apple or Google.

Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, store listings, online services, or pages at any time. We do not promise uninterrupted service, that every feature will fit every use case, or that a free tier will stay unchanged forever. Reasonable efforts are made to keep the site and apps useful and accurate.

No warranty

The website and apps are provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent the law allows. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where the law does not allow that disclaimer.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Maverick Codebase is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss; loss of profits, data, or goodwill; or loss arising from your use of the website or apps, reliance on general information on this site, content you share or export, third-party stores or ads, or online play with other users.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that limit is not allowed.

Privacy

Website visit logging and contact forms are described in the Privacy Policy. Each app’s privacy page explains what that app collects and keeps on device.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access to website features or app accounts we control if you materially breach these Terms, abuse online features, or create legal or security risk. You may stop using the apps at any time and delete your data as described above. Store subscription cancellation remains in your Apple or Google account settings.

Changes to these Terms

We may update this page when the site or products change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms for future use. For material changes to paid offers, the App Store or Google Play listing and in-app purchase screens remain the place where price and renewal terms are confirmed before you buy.
